Life Purpose

I am thinking about buying some Roller Skates. There are a couple of reasons..
1. They are cool.
2. I actually think i might use them! (well, for a little while at least)
3. The name of the skates is 'StarFire 500'. I kinda just love the name.
4. It's possible my purpose to life is to bring skates back. Not Roller Blades mind you, but Roller Skates.

Thoughts?

I love foreign people!

I have been compiling a list of mixed phrases that i have heard and find higly amusing and thought i would share the love...

1. I would love to be a spider on the wall ( as opposed to being a fly on the wall)
2. I didn't want to stir the boat ( as opposed to stirring the pot)

and finally, my favourite...

3. I wanted to stab his head off! ( i'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but it makes me giggle all the same!)

Shoes

So, the other day, Brett and i were driving around, and he asks me if i would like to call into the local shopping centre. And, well, of course i would (silly boy should know it goes without saying!).Anywho, since i have plenty of dresses (see previous posts), i was on the lookout for shoes. Below are my purchases, AND they were half price.

Tell me, could you have said no to shopping?

Agitated

Argh, im all agitated. A while back i went off the pill to see if it would stop my slight skin pigmentation, but then i started to get some side effects, so about a week ago, i went back on the pill, but now i am all AGITATED. Seriously, i want to dismember anything that slightly pisses me off.

And to top it all off, i think i am suffering buyers remorse.

Help!

Monday, July 07, 2008

I'm calm.

Today i received a Uni essay back from marking, and do you know what it said? That some of my terms were a little to 'academic'. It's an essay for gods sake- it's supposed to be academic!

In saying that, my mark was quite good, but still, this comment is annoying the crap out of me.

Argh.

My favourite (clean) joke

Me:Did you hear about the wedding between the antennas?
You: No, what?
Me: The ceremony was crap, but the reception was great!

Cmon, share the love-i want to hear your favourite jokes (clean or dirty, i'm not one to discriminate!)

It strikes again..

So, my favourite store, Peter Alexander, is having a stocktake sale. Needless to say, i have made some purchases. This cardi is my favourite....

I really must stop shopping.

Turn offs

Today i saw a man (about 40 yrs old) wearing skate shoes, black jeans with a hole near his bum and an old tweed jacket. Needless to say, it was not a good sight. What made it worse though, was the excessive ear hair. It was long and stuck out of his ears like it has been straightened.

Stangely enough, i can deal with nose hair, but def. not ear hair.

What are your turn offs??

Freaky

The other day Brett and I sent the exact same email to each other at the exact same time (3:47 to be precise) Freaky. I guess this proves how much couples tend to think alike, OR just how bored people can be at the same time.....

:)

Must stop...

Shopping. Seriously. It's just there are so many bargains to be had!

Tell me, what are your vices?

Love swing dancing!

That is all.

Decisions!

I love bags and purses. Specifically, i love the ones below....

Although im having troubles choosing what colours to get. The purse with the hearts also comes in grey and black, while the orange clutch also comes in black. I love the orange, but surely black is more practical??

These, and many more, are available here , AND if you enter the code 'MISSY4U' you get a 20% discount. Hooray!

Such a conundrum!

Update

I know i have been a fairly slack blogger, but, well....i have no reason except 'stuff'. 'Stuff' can include, but is not limited to:
1. Washing (clothes-the cycle never ends!)
2. Assignments (yeah, im on school holidays!)
3. Migrains (YUCK)
4. Work

Anyway, i thought i would update everyone on the dance lessons i blogged about before... Brett, I and a girl from work are starting a 6 week beginners course in Swing dancing that commences on Wednesday. If anyone wants to come it's in the Valley and goes from 7-8pm.

I cant wait to be pissed one night and be able to break into a swing dance routine!

VIP (very intoxicated person!) haha, im a funny girl!

I am slightly pissed ( a theme of Friday nights), and just had dinner at a table next to Sammy Lucas. I hope she had the fish, it was great!

Sunday, May 18, 2008

This is actually a sentence...

'My girlfriend now refuses to let me drink her saliva.'

Someone has for some reason, needed to arrange these words together to convey this very weird...action. I dont know about you, but i have a mental image of nice, cool glass of saliva.

Ahh, the wonders of google!

The greatness that is my new job!

For the last 4 days, i have been employed in the publishing field as a Publications Assistant. It is an area that i have ALWAYS wanted to be in, but couldn't because of the lack of opportunity where i used to live. It is something that i have studied towards for years ( and still do), but i never thought that i would actually get there. In saying that, i also never thought i would move to Brisbane.

Thinking and doing are two VERY differnt things. I am still coming to the realisation that i am doing a job that i WANT to do, instead of a job to bide my time. And to make things even better, this company is GREAT to work for (especially since i came from a small accouting firm in a country town..!)

Perks:

1. 2 proper coffee machines
2. I can wear whatever i like!
3. Tuesdays at 4:30 a trainer comes and does pilates and boxing for whoever wants to do it (and you dont even need to make up the time!)
4. Flexible working hours
5. Much better pay!
6. They do not take the 10 day Christmas closure of the 4 weeks annual leave
7. People come to the office to take lunch orders and then deliver them
8. I get a swipe card!!
10. I have a title that does not involve the word 'receptionist)
11. I now get to claim some of my Uni costs because it's work related

Yay for me!

New Girl

Today was the first day of my new job! Yep, i am officailly the new girl.

I can't be arsed to write to much more- just know that it seems to be to good to be true!

Dancing

In an effort to merge into Brisbane life, i am thinking about making Brett come to dance lessons with me. I am thinking either Swing or Ballroom.

Has anyone had any experience in these styles before??

Brett thinks he is a bit of a dancer, so it should be fun.

Happy Days

Yay, possum arrived home last night from his business trip. Needless to say, i hassled him out all night. He now knows every insignificant thing that i have done, and what has happened to me since Sunday, including but not limited to:

1. Food that i have eaten, and food that i did not
2. The way bus drivers here dont like you putting money directly in their hands. (has to go on the bench thingy)
3. What i have cleaned, and what i did not and,
4. Updates on Oprah (she made Barbara Walters cry!)

Tuesday, May 06, 2008

Sorry

I just bumped my desk and apologised to it.

What can i say, it's a sensitive desk...!

Shit yeah

Yeah, I have a job! AND it's not being a receptionist!!

(pumping first in the air)

That is all.

Freaking Out- Part 1

I have been waiting for my freak out, and here it is. It did take much longer then i expected, and, well, i think it's come about because i am PMSing and possum has gone away with work until Wednesday.

I have been ok up until now, i have had things to do (shopping & job interviews), but today i have nothing. I have no motivation, no company, and no sense of calmness. I feel like chucking a tantrum, but what good is a tantrum if there is no-one to comfort you afterward?

My brother was going to come in and visit me today, but he couldnt be bothered driving. I understand this, but a familar face would have been nice. I'm sure if i had explained my issues, he would have come, but then i know it would have been out of pity.

I am sure i am over-reacting, i have another interview to go to tomorrow and im sure once i have a job i will level out, but right now, everyone seems to have a plan- a thing to go to, or a person to laugh with.

In saying all this, i really do like Brisbane. It's just that most things are designed for pairs, and whilst my other half is absent, i have nothing to do.

Deep breath. I think i need a cup of tea.

Update: I am being silly. I have things to do, Uni assignments etc, but i am just being stubborn and petty. I just have to be calm and focus on my productive day tomorrow. A day filled with chocolate, shopping, productiveness and another interview. And then, after all that, possum will be home the following day and i will get to hassle him out. See? All better!

Saturday, May 03, 2008

On a lighter note..

I am really liking this pink cardi and black jumper. They are both so cute! I figure the cardi would be a good item for work (brighten things up a bit) and the black pullover would go great with my new boots....!

You can get these items from Frock You

Water. I need water.

I have never, ever been so hungover in my entire life. Ever. Possum and i planned to go out for a quiet dinner last night (we had great pizza), but we both have no idea how we got home last night. I remember going to a couple of clubs, but after that we are both drawing blanks. I came home with my purse etc, which is always a good sign, but can not stress enough how awful we have both felt today. I have lost count of how many times i vomitted...(gross i know, but true)
Seriously, we havent seen day light yet- its like Saturday has not even happened!

So, so odd. I am even thinking that our drinks could have been spiked, purely for the fact that we BOTH can't remember after a certain time last night.

Has this happened to anyone else??

Something to think about

Is it just me, or is this model's eyebrows very...agressive?

Queries

Why is it that i love bacon, but really don't like pork?

And i don't think that i could eat a guniea pig, but have no qualms about eating normal pigs.

Come to think of it, pig is a funny word.

Furthermore, i just dont think i can eat mini versions of anything, eg, goldfish as opposed to say, snapper, and quail as say, chickens. I dont think i could eat deer, either. I wonder why?

Can you tell i am unemployed?

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Words i like to say... (in no particular order)

1. Perpetuate
2. Concubine
3. Fallopian (as in tubes)
4. Succinct
5. Sparticus

Feel free to add... :)

Madness

Well, these last couple of weeks have been madness! As well starting a new life in a GREAT new city, i have also done a wee bit of shopping! I thought i would share with you a few of my favourite things...

*Firstly, tan boots from Portmans $60. These will be my everyday boots. Love them.
*Urban Originals bag $90. Saw it on the net ages ago & thinks it's very unique. Had to have it.
*Black boots from Betts. $150 down from $200. The heel is great- not to big and not to little. Every girl has to have a pair of black boots.
*Brown/bronze wedges. These pair were the ultimate bargain $10 down from $100. Again, the heel/wedge is not too high and they are amazingly comfortable.
* Cute little cups from a market earlier today. $8.00 each. They have the cutest flowers painted on..there is also a matching jug which i will think about buying.... ;)
* Portmans bangles. These were half price and came down to $7.00. I find getting bangles to fit my wrist is hard. My wrist is tiny and everything falls off.. :(

So, i think thats it. I have bought some clothes as well, but am loving shoes at the moment.

This is such a deep post isn't it?!

Stinky gym

Today i went to the gym. It's been ages (or so my pants have been telling me), so off i went to the gym around the corner. It's quite different to my old, country hick gym in NSW (this one has a tv on each machine!) but i slowly but surely got back into it.

So, there i was, walking up a storm, when i smell a skanky, disgusting fart. Yep. There is only one other normal looking women next to me who must have been the offender. Seriosuly though, she didnt look like she could have something that stinky come from her, but she did.

The stench lingers so i move onto another machine. So, there i was, stair climbing away, when i smell another, even worse, fart. What is it with people farting near me? Are they trying to tell me something? Am i not following new gym rules? Is this some type of initiation?

Maybe next time i will return fire? Fart on demand.

Has this happened to anyone else?

How gay!

Conversation that took place with my newly gay brother about 1/2 hr ago....

me: When you go out tonight you should try vodka and apple juice, it's great!
brother: no, that would be gay
me: but you are gay
brother: oh, yeah i guess that could work then..

I love my brother!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Seriously?

Looking for jobs and came across this description...

'Dynamic yarn supplies'

Can yarn even be dynamic? Is there another side to yarn?

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

Yep- Alive!

Well here i am, sitting in an Internet Cafe called Peter Pan. So far i am loving it here, we have a great apartment which is only a ferry ride from basically anywhere. And its warm here!! No flannelette pjs for me! Still have no internet on, but hopefully it wont be too far away- until then i am somewhat old school- ie. shopping in person and writing snail mail...!

I figure until i get the net on i cant really look for a job, so until then i am on a long holiday...! Hmmmm, it's a hard life!

It feels really odd not to have net access at my fingertips. I am so reliant on it- is this sad? Even my Uni is online.

On another note- Insinkerators. We have one in out kitchen sink. I assume they are garbage disposals? Either way- i have never ever used one. I was turning on the light switches the other day and turns out it was the switch to work the insinkerator. I jumped a mile. It's very loud and somewhat intimidating. I dont think i will use it anymore.

One Skinny Girl- i will endevour to email you shortly- am really wanting some female input- Possum is trying hard, but doesnt get nearly as excited as he should be when i buy bargains (Yep- i bought a $99 pair of shoes for $10-BARGAIN!)He does try though.... :)

Well thats it for now, i really miss my regular visits to your pages/lives.

Hope everyone is well and intact!

2 days. Shit.

This whole moving 'thing' is happening so quickly. The movers are coming on Tuesday and we are planning on leaving wed/thursday and take a few days to drive to brisbane so we can move in Saturday. Argh. And i havent even seen the apartment we are moving into!! There is sooo much stuff yo sort out eg, mail, utilities, visting everyone before i go. I am sorta freaking out, but am trying to be calm.

Okay, i am now calmish.... :)

If i dont get time to post in the next couple of days, i will be back on deck in a week or two.

Wish me luck!

PostSecret

Who else loves PostSecret?

It's funny, because i have often thought of sending in a secret, but mine just don't seem as good as the others. Maybe that is my secret? Or it was.... ;)

I bought one of the books a while back and often look at it- it's kind of like reading a juicy novel and looking at great art at the same time. It's time efficient!

If you haven't checked it out you must!

Tourture!

Is it because i am (as of tomorrow) unemployed that i want to buy things?? Here is my list:
1. Boots (I tink about 4 pairs should do it)
2. Work shoes (ones that will look pretty with tights)
3. A couple of adaptable pieces for work and play
4. Oh, and a doona cover. Love Peter Alexander!!!

With this in mind, look what i have stumbled across! Granted, the prices below are a bit more that i wanted to pay, BUT i also dont want to buy crap.

French Kitty coat ($120 BUT thats good for a coat, and this would be my more casual coat AND the hood detaches. It's versatile!)

and this cute one from Ben Sherman ($110- a bit pricey, but you do get a camilsole to wear under it, so really thats just $55 for each-bargain!)

oh, and how cute is this!! $200 from Peter Alexander

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Point form works for me!

* Sh*t! have assignments due. Have not done said assignments.
* Still no place to live in Brisbane. Getting close though...! Possibly New Farm?
* Last day of work Friday! Hooray!
* Possum got me a GHD hair straightener for my birthday. I am a very happy girl. He also bought me some vanilla body butter- it smells so good! I smell like a bakery!
* There is waaaay to much chocolate in my house.

The end.

Saturday, March 22, 2008

Excitement!

It's my birthday tomorrow!

Yes, i am one of those people who ALWAYS get excited over birthdays, wether they are mine or not. I plan months in advance on what i want to get people, and am often more excited than they are when the day comes.

Why? Don't know. Could be because i am a wee bit childish. Or, it could just be that i like shopping ;)

I have been telling possum many possible presents that he could buy me over the last couple of months, becuase lets face it- guys cant take a hint. In saying that, im still not sure that he has bought anything yet. He just keeps putting things off...

I will keep you updated....

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Good times.

It's possible that i need to buy this top.

Thoughts?

Tuff stuff

I resigned from my job today which i have been at for 8 years- since i was 18. This is my first job. I have had others in conjunction with this job, but this has always been my 'proper' job.

I am a bit sad. I will miss sooo many people- workmates, clients, and even the people i order the office stationery from. We bonded over paper and staplers.

Oh well, i have ended an era that was basically a 3rd of my life.

Shit.

Anyone want to buy a car? Or a house?

Well it's official. Brett & I are moving to Brisbane, QLD. In a month, aka 30 days.
In that time we have to:

1. Sell our house. :( (we will be renters once again)
2. Sell both our cars (his jobs comes with one and we will be living right in the city so i shouldnt need one)
3. Resign from our jobs.
4. Move! Well, that shouldnt be too bad as the movers etc are supplied.
5. I have to find a new job. Although im not too concerned, because our rent will be paid for 6 weeks by the new employers so i get to take my time to find a job that i actually might like !
6. Since Uni is now by correspondence i dont have to do much there, except get some assignments out of the way.

On another note, i tried a different hair dresser this morning and i love them, but now i have to move away. I'm sure most of you gals out there feel my pain.

I also have had a migrain all day. This one was particulary fierce, as it felt like someone was playing tennis with a brick in my head. Nice.

Thursday, March 13, 2008

I want this so very badly..

It's so pretty. And it's only $25.

Bargain.

Here is where you can buy it. Although, i would be a wee bit upset if you bought this one before me..!
:)

Oh,oh and this!

love, love , love Etsy!

A post about stuff....

Well, it's been a few days so i thought i should do a post. There have been a few random things going on that have kept me...preoccupied. Let's see shall we?

1. High possibility of moving to a whole new state.
2. My lovely brother came out of the closest. Love him.
3. Work issues.
4. Am turning 26 soon- HAVING 1/4 LIFE CRISIS.
5. I have looked at my credit card bill.... (enough said)
6. Am PMSing and.....
7. Have not chocolate left in the house! Am resorting to picking the chocolate chips of my muesli bars.
8. For some reason i find myself obsessed with The Biggest Loser.

Waitress

So has anyone else seen the movie Waitress ?

I can not recommend it enough. A brilliant & funny movie. Favourite character has to be the doctor. I love the nerdy, neurotic types.... :)

Also sad though, becuse the lady Adrienne Shelley who wrote, directed & starred in it was murdered. So sad.

Possum, if you are reading this & need ideas please see below. Everyone else, I like cups!

All of these items are available here

Did you know...

that Plato was against the written word? He thought that pieces of text would take the place of genuine wisdom, and would promote stupidity & vanity. That true intelligence had to be thought, sought, & discussed.

Ironically, it is through text that I am aware of this.

Wrap me up!

Yes, i have been shopping. Just a wee bit though. It is getting a bit chilly in the land down under, so i thought it was time to invest in this coat by GRAB.

I invested at the right time too! They were having a leap year/day sale with 35% off everything. I ended up getting the coat for $115 delivered as opposed to $175..

You must visit this shopping paradise

Gotta love Ebay...

because i just scored this bag for $30

Blonde moments

We all do silly things AKA Blonde moments, so i thought i would share one of mine...

I dont mind checking out garage sales, so one day I checked the newspaper for the lists and started visiting the addresses. I went to a few, but couldnt see any movement. Zilch. Thinking they must have finished early, i went to check out some more addresses....

Turns out the newspaper i was using was last weeks.

Share?

Communication is key!

So, i have to study a subject that i dont like the sound of 'Communication & Culture'. It sounds a bit.. dull right??

Wrong.

I have read one page of my notes & have fallen in love. Well, maybe it's not quite love, but at least lust.

So there you have it. I think this means im a nerd?

Much? no.

Well. Not much has been happening. My week has consisted of the basics....

1. Work
2. Sleep
3. Playing virtual tennis on the Playstation 3 (i play as Venus, possum as Rodger)
4. Going to bed before 9:00 on most nights. Sad i know, but what am i to do?

I also booked tickets to Ross Noble . If you have seen him before-he's great isnt he?? If you haven't- you must! The funniest guy around (his hair just adds to the madness!)

BTW, possum bought me red roses yesterday for Valentine's day. We have been together for 5 yrs this May, so it's nice that he still thinks to do things like this.

To perk myself up, i am going to go shopping on the weekend. I am on the lookout for a tan bag, some folders and a book.

Wish me luck!

ok, my friend just rang me. She got engaged last night. So cute!

Rain.

It is raining. More. Still. Us Aussies are not used to rain- we are drought people! Don't get me wrong- the rain is great, but after about 2 consistent weeks, im starting to get a little pissed. Things are starting to flood, animals are drowning,
everything is always just a little damp, my hair does not stay straight and resembles something from the 80's & i dont have a clothes dryer.

Not that i'm complaining, im just saying... :)

And to top it off, today is my nieces birthday party. If only it would stop for a couple of hours.

BTW, i couldn't decide what to get her, so i got a bit of everything...

Wednesday, February 06, 2008

Input please

People, i need help! It's my niece's 8th birthday on Saturday and i have no idea what to get her. Though, i know what i am NOT getting her:

Clothes
Art supplies
Anything breakable
Toys

You would think this would makes things easier but it does not. She has EVERYTHING!

I was considering a little bag & purse set, but im not convinced. Is there anything else?

Music

Now, as you would have not noticed- i don't blog about music. I listen to it, but it's not something that i get obsessed with. HOWEVER, i am utterly obsessed with Angus & Julia Stone. They are an Aussie brother & sister duo.

You MUST check them out, which you can do here

Seriously, they are that good.

That is all.

And i didn't even try...!

What i have learnt today

(before i start, there is no offence intended for overweight people or olives)

1. That overweight women have a harder time getting pregnant. This is because fat produces estrogen and estrogen is a natural type of contraception.

2. That investing in olives will generally not be overly 'fuitful'*. You should maybe try truffles.

3. To burn calories you should increase muscle. Muscle burns calories.

Hmmm. I think thats it.

* Yes, this pun was itended.

A quandry

Yesterday whilst walking through a bottle shop, i over heard part of a conversation between a young guy & girl. What the guy said has had me wondering all weekend:

'19 out of 20 people wouldn't do that'

DO WHAT????

I have had many thoughts running through my head, but, well, thats a BIG majority. What would 19 people object to?? What would 1, only 1, person do??

(also,is it kinky/freaky/dirty/disgusting or just plain wrong on every level?)

Thoughts please...?

Lip Balm/Burn

I just bought a lip balm. Actually, to be specific it's 'Finest Aromatic Lip Conditioning Treatment'. Sounds good right? Well, no. My lips are burning.

Oh the pain! It hurts soo bad!

Ok, maybe i'm exaggerating, but really- burning?

(At least it smells good...)

Heath Ledger RIP

The last couple of days all i have seen & heard about is the death of Heath. I very nearly cried last night becasue it is so sad. BUT when i thought about it, as tragic as this is, it happens all the time all over the world. I dont know how many people die everyday, but i just think there is something not right about the attention some people get over others. Is it because he managed to touch so many people through his work?

I hope i am explainging myself right.

I do realise that i am being somewhat of a hypocrite by writing a post about this (particulary Heath), but it's something i have been thinking about.

I found this photo after a search...

I love it and think it says alot about Heath's personality and the fact that even though he is in the limelight, he is not censored and tells it like it is.

A day for firsts!

Today i did something that i had never done before. Today i ........... complained about food, and not just to my friends, but the actual restaurant people!

Here's the story...

My friend & i go to a cafe/restaurant for lunch. I enquire about the vegie burger and am told that it's a vegie pattie on a roll with salad etc. Sounds good (and somewhat healthy) so I place my order.

Over half an hour later the food comes. Sitting in between my (burnt) roll was a tiny, deep fried, mass produced pattie on some (feral) lettuce. It was absolute crap! It was made of peas, corn & deb potatoe. I tried eat it, but could only digest about 2 bites.

Now i may or not be spolied, but vegie burgers where i come from are made on-site, out of more than 3 trypes of veges, & are NOT deep fried. Oh, and they also come with a side of taste!

I debated about complaining (I thought about it and wether or not i would serve it at home-no!), which made up my mind. She was ok about it, and gave back my money. I normally wouldn't have been that annoyed, BUT i did ask them about it and how it was served and never did they say 'deep fried crap'!

So what do you think? Was i in the right? Also, have you ever complained about food or sent it back??

(Shit! Pulled a muscle in before mentioned dance)

Anyway. Does anyone have any special recommendations? We plan on going sometime in June and staying in Honolulu for about a week/ten days.

Ikea madness

So, yesterday was memorable! As well as going to Chatswood, we also made a detour to a shop i had only ever heard about......Ikea!

Im sure everyone else has been there before, but for me, I was an Ikea virgin. I had no idea of the rules, and the necessity of the mini pencil & paper (I learnt quickly though)

We made it out alive with some curtains and a coffee table (i also got a freebie headache from all the people, car fumes & crying babies- how nice!)

Here i am, ready to shop

Small things

Yay! I am going to go to 2 of my favourites shops on Saturday Peter Alexander and Kikki K at Chatswood Chase.

Oh, how i love that shopping centre. Adore maybe? We'll see...!

Well, that's basically all i have to post about today, and it is kind of exciting because i am making a 2hr trek to get there. I often shop with them online, but sometimes you just need to see & touch things. Understand? Good.

Have a great friday!

Time for introductions

This is Boston, my friends baby boy. He's such a cutie (and one that hardly ever makes a noise!)

I think i must have moved the camera, BUT maybe, just maybe, this photo shows his aura? Just a thought...!

p.s- I got sepia on, but have no idea how to turn it off. ahhhh, the joys of a new camera!

Blast from the past

Fine, i'll admit it. I am a massive Guns n Roses fan. This type of thing is bound to happen when you have 3 older brothers......!

Things that sh*t me

1. Pregnant women who smoke. Now, as a former smoker i do not pass judgement on those who chose to partake in this particular habit- it is their choice. However babies and smoking are a no-go area. It is soooo wrong. I seriously wanted to headbutt this woman, but she looked a bit badass so i looked sternly in her general direction and just kept walkin'.....!

2. School holidays. Everything takes 10 minutes longer. (Also i am jealous-that used to be me!!)

3.The increasing cost of magazines. Everyone complains about the petrol & milk prices, but what about the magazines??

Well i thinks thats it so far.

p.s- For those interested i did buy the robe mentioned in the previous post and am about to go for the eye pillow...

Match made in heaven

I am thinking about getting these to little gems off Ebay. First is a Peter Alexander robe that i nearly bought a while back for $69, but is on ebay for $30. Bargain. It would be a crime (a very petty crime i admit) not to buy it!

Second is, yes, an eye pillow. Though this one is different because it is lavander scented. I realise that i could put some lavander on one of my others, consequently not really needing this one anymore, BUT then im not shopping and where's the fun in that??

Oh, and they match! See? I am meant to have these!

Stick man is a vagabond

Firstly, i would like to announce that Stick man has moved on. Yes, i was upset but i am sure its for the best. Last night was hard, i missed his eerie prescence and his thin shadow, however i had to move on.

(Enter vodka)

To help cope with the loss, i enlisted vodka. Three types. Normal, Vanilla and Apple (all great BTW- especially appple vodka with apple juice)

I now have a hangover that has taken my mind of Stick man.

Goodbye Stick man, i will miss you (well...at least a little bit)

I call him......Stick man!

This insect has been hanging around my front door for the past couple of days. I'll admit that when i first saw it, i did actually think it was a stick.

I'm not quite sure what to do with it, so i am leaving it alone. I know its harmless, but it's still a wee bit....freaky. I have named it/him (?) Stick man.

Bravo for such a convincing camouflage stick man!

Argh!

Well, the countdown is on. Only 4 days until i am back at work. Life can be so cruel.....

To make myself feel better i went shopping and bought new thongs, a bag, a bra & a top (for work) and to makes things even better, they were all on sale. I ended up buying $130 worth of things for about $80.

Surely thats better than paying retail?
