I am slightly pissed ( a theme of Friday nights), and just had dinner at a table next to Sammy Lucas. I hope she had the fish, it was great!

Someone has for some reason, needed to arrange these words together to convey this very weird...action. I dont know about you, but i have a mental image of nice, cool glass of saliva.

The greatness that is my new job!

For the last 4 days, i have been employed in the publishing field as a Publications Assistant. It is an area that i have ALWAYS wanted to be in, but couldn't because of the lack of opportunity where i used to live. It is something that i have studied towards for years ( and still do), but i never thought that i would actually get there. In saying that, i also never thought i would move to Brisbane.

Thinking and doing are two VERY differnt things. I am still coming to the realisation that i am doing a job that i WANT to do, instead of a job to bide my time. And to make things even better, this company is GREAT to work for (especially since i came from a small accouting firm in a country town..!)

Perks:

1. 2 proper coffee machines
2. I can wear whatever i like!
3. Tuesdays at 4:30 a trainer comes and does pilates and boxing for whoever wants to do it (and you dont even need to make up the time!)
4. Flexible working hours
5. Much better pay!
6. They do not take the 10 day Christmas closure of the 4 weeks annual leave
7. People come to the office to take lunch orders and then deliver them
8. I get a swipe card!!
10. I have a title that does not involve the word 'receptionist)
11. I now get to claim some of my Uni costs because it's work related

New Girl

Today was the first day of my new job! Yep, i am officailly the new girl.

I can't be arsed to write to much more- just know that it seems to be to good to be true!

Dancing

In an effort to merge into Brisbane life, i am thinking about making Brett come to dance lessons with me. I am thinking either Swing or Ballroom.

Has anyone had any experience in these styles before??

Brett thinks he is a bit of a dancer, so it should be fun.

Happy Days

Yay, possum arrived home last night from his business trip. Needless to say, i hassled him out all night. He now knows every insignificant thing that i have done, and what has happened to me since Sunday, including but not limited to:

1. Food that i have eaten, and food that i did not
2. The way bus drivers here dont like you putting money directly in their hands. (has to go on the bench thingy)
3. What i have cleaned, and what i did not and,
4. Updates on Oprah (she made Barbara Walters cry!)
