Busy busy

So, time for some news!

Brett and I are packing up once again, this time back to NSW- Port Macquarie to be exact. In less than a month we will be living by the ocean enjoying a sea change.

I have really liked living in Brisbane, but being 10 hours from friends and family it a bit hard, and Port Macq. is less then a 3 hour drive.

Brett has been offered a great job, and my work has said that i can work from home. All in all this has turned out really well and we have been VERY lucky with how things have fallen into place.

I think one of the main things I am going to miss ( apart from my new friends) is the SHOPPING! Yes. Caps. I love shopping! Port isn't too bad, but i won't have a Myer or DJ's.... :( I guess the move will be good for my bank balance!

Dresses

Now, everyone knows that I love to shop online (clothes, purses, makeup etc), but i have never bought handmade clothes online, specifically Esty. I was having a quick browse and came across this lovely dress.


A good friend of mine is getting married in November and i am strongly thinking about buying this. The wedding is going to be formal, and I think this dress is sophisticated, timeless, classy, and easy to accessorise.

Gambled and won!

On the weekend, Brett & I went to the Casino. Now normally i am not a gambler, but i came out $200 on top- not bad for a $35 bet. I played the poker machines and won $70and the rest on roulette.

Now i just have be careful and not become addicted.

Today...

Today i am going to go to the city with my fella, to have lunch and drink wine (and maybe shop). Why? Because i can. As much as i know Uni is worth it, and i will benefit from the extra 7 years of education, it still has its moments of...shit.

Since i work full-time and study part-time, i really dont have much time for general hanging out, and whenever i do, i feel guilty because there is always an assignment due or papers to read.

So today, i am doing nothing. Because i can. I will also blog more, because i can. I will also watch re-runs of dodgy movies and tv shows because i can.

Ahhh. Bliss.

Work/Wine

So, in Australia there is a horse race called The Melbourne Cup. Basically, its an excuse to put on a dress, drink copious amounts of wine. My work is having drinks and we have to dress up- but not too much because we still have to work...or look like it anyway.

Mineral makeup

Has anyone else joined the mineral makeup band wagon? I recently bought this Bloom stater kit and love it! It costs $100 and has $162 value. Included is; mineral foundation, mineral bronzer, makeup base, foundation brush concealer brush and an intructional DVD (which is good because i am clueless about makeup!).

I haven't tried any other brands, but I am quite happy with Bloom. Any other suggestions?

Oohhh, i also bought this eyeliner and got about 10 (very nice)comments the next day about it.

Its a massive book, but so, so worth it. My favourite quote so far (when thinking about attention from boys) 'how could that not frost my cake?'

Up at the crack of a sparrows fart

Hmmmm, you maybe be wondering why i am posting at 7:16 a.m. on a Sunday morning? Well, there are a couple of contributing factors:

1. The blinds/curtains in our bedroom are CRAP. I thought it was about 10:00 when i woke up, not 6:30. So, so sad.

2. Yesterday, i finally managed to track down and purchase the dresser (below) from IKEA that i have wanted (yearned??!) for forever. Brett is putting it together now, so i think it is best to stay ot of his way. So, finally i have it and i can get rid of the one i have has since i was 14.

My Mum

As you may or may not know, there is a fast food chain called 'Aporto Chicken'. On my recent visit home, i was driving with my mum past it's construction site, where my mum advised me that we are getting a new chicke shop called..................... 'Portfolio Chicken'.

Firstly, thank you chickies for your lovely comments re: my imminent death from hayfever. As you can probably tell, i made it through alive, and realisticlly, i probably wasn't go to die from it in the first place(although it felt like it!)

p.s- in case your wondering, i was so doped up on drugs, i have had this intense taste of gross in my mouth that i just can't get rid of.

Maybe vodka will get rid of it?
