It feels so good!

I am sooo hung over. It's been a while so i dont feel tooo bad about it, especially since i had a great time and didnt even leave my house!

It came about because we had a dinner party last night. Six great people, some great food and LOTS of wine. As you may or may not know, i live in the wine making 'mecca' of Australia-The Hunter Valley. Because of this we not only have access to great wine (and get the locals discount) but many of our friends work in the industry and basically have wine coming out of their ass!

This mornings assessment found 12+ empty bottles, and an empty carton of beer...you get the picture.

I would seem that i even made some muffins! (not that i can recall that though....)

So, I am back at Uni
Back to being busy and therefore....
Back at feeling like i am not having as much fun as i would like to be
Back to feeling bad becasue possum cooks dinner nearly every night
Back to feeling guilty about when i do things that arent Uni related

I think i wouldnt feel as bad/unsettled if i had even the slightest idea about what i want, or plan to do, after Uni.

But thats ok. I guess there are worse things to be suffereing from. After all, it is my choice to attend. Despite what i say, i do enjoy it. I just wish i had a plan.

Im going to .....

Thailand! Yay! A group of 5 of us are going in October for a fun filled week. I haven't really been out of Australia (well, i have been on a cruise around Numea etc but i dont really count that as it wasn't by plane)

I can't wait! (insert excited dance here)

Any tips or suggestions? I heard that you can ride on Elephants so that will be task number 1. Other than that? Shopping, oh and the hotel has a swim up bar. Bliss.

An update...

I thought i would update you on my most unusual puchase, the..... Apple cosie! And yes, i really do use it. It looks good on my desk and makes for very interesting conversations. Actually, you might say that by purchasing said apple adornment, i have contributed to social interaction. Or not.

Either way, the cosie was an investment in the future of the health of my apples, and therefore my health and contentment. Im sure you agree that these are VERY important issues in today's society. So there.

I really dont think that i can resist this....

Secret Wish perfume by Anna Sui.

Now, i am not a perfume freak, i have a few bottles (although the majority come from the friendly ladies at Avon!), BUT i am very particular about the scents. I love fresh, fruit and floral. I HATE musk. Always have, always will.

So you can imagine my *glee* when i came across this little beauty! It's soooo nice!

What can you buy for $1.86?

A long sleeve, button up shirt for work of course! Yes, today i got the bargain of all bargains. A work shirt for $1.86. No kidding. Marked down from $30.00. This is great because i LOATHE spending money on clothes for work. And lets face it, you will always wear a white button up shirt.

Any you know what else? You cant even buy a coke these days for that price. Name one thing that you have bought for $1.86? NOTHING!

The bad side of this (yes, there is a bad side) is that all the other sale items just didnt seem like they were on sale 'enough.' I walked past half price pants and thought'i know that they can go lower'. I very nearly started to shout 'Show me the money!!'

Side note: Buggar the $2 shop, im going to open the $1.86 shop. Ha! i will be the competition!

I have been tagged.....

by Lucy-Jane to list 7 things about myself. In my classic style, i am putting way too much thought into this. Lets keep it shall we? BTW, sorry for mixing pronouns (see #5)

1. I have many eye/sleep masks, but do not use them. I think i must be collecting them subconsciously. Or, i was until now. :)

2. I have many, many bags. Approx 30*

3. I must have nice looking toe nails. My fingers nails can look like crap and i do not care, but have a chipped toe nail? Not on. It must be fixed pronto.

4. Some of my pets have died wierd pet-deaths that i thought only ever happended to humans including Cancer, Aids, and one time the hair just fell out of my mouse. I think I bathed him too much (or maybe it was the blow-dry afterwards?)

5. I am obsessed with correct grammer and punctuation, but not in regard to myself.

6. I actually believed my parents when the told me that my dog 'went to a farm'. Really. I was 21 when i realised the truth, which was prompted by a 'Friends' episode where Ross believed it too. Monica had to tell him the truth. We were both devastated. Still are.

7. I love The Carpenters. I understand if you do not know who they are.

Earlier tonight Possum and i went out to dinner, and you know what i thought about?? How many people have used the same cutlery as i did. Do i know these people? Were they happy or said when they used said cutlery? And the list goes on......

Then, i drank some more wine and i didnt think about it anymore.

There's a funny story here....

For the whole year that Brett was 26, he actually thought he was 27. I wasnt until just before his 27th birthday that he realised his mistake. When people had asked how old he was he was answering 27. All the time. He now thinks that he has lost a year of his life. I agree, and laugh about it constantly. Why? because this is one smart guy. He doesnt do silly things like this often, these types of things are generally left up to me.

Every year i get milage out of the same joke. And as we all know, this rarely happens.

Colour me apple!

I'm fairly certain that I need this Apple Cosie. I constantly suffer from having to eat bruised and slighly malformed apples and am sure that this cosie from www.etsy.com will rid me of further apple incidents. It's a bargain too at $7.00.

And yes, it certainly helps that it's pink.

Im not sure about the pear cosie. A banana one would be a better idea.

Near perfect....

Today has been near perfect. Since going to Uni, i have realised they importance of time- what i have and how i use it. I used to do soooo much crap. Quantity, but not quality. Seriously. I feel so stupid for all the time i did nothing but sit on my ass. However, i am changing this though and since i am on holidays for a few weeks with nothing that I HAVE to read, and nothing that is due, i am enjoying every minute doing things that i dont normally do anymore. Not that there things are overly great or unusual, but i have the choice.

So far today i have done some housework,some grocery shopping, bought some socks (that say i love shopping!), rented season 1 of Frasier and.....Erin Brockovich! Yes, i have been yearning to rewatch Erin for a while now and have finally found it and it was even better then i remembered! I have been curled on the couch covered in blankets (its winter and cooollldd), eating 2 minute noodles and trying to remember how to spell Erin's last name for this post and i have loved every minute of it.

Must make some tea and get back to it. Hope your having a great day too :)
