I have no idea what to call this post.
Well, here we are. Those restless days in between Christmas & New Years. Normally i am bored about now, shopping the sales every now & then, but no, not this time. Why? Well i'll tell ya.
Possum & I decided to paint. Yep, the kitchen & family room. Needless to say i am regretting it already. Everything hurts and what doesnt hurt has paint all over it.
Help.
Anyway. Enough of my whinging.
Christmas was great, possum got me a bracelet & the entire serious of 3rd Rock from the Sun. I LOVE that show. Im slightly obsessed with it actually...

Phobias
Today possum told me of a phobia i had never heard of. A girl at his work is afraid of touching velvet like things. eg, she cant touch peaches, dry sponges etc. (yes,i am totally serious) Apparently the sensation she experiences is like that when people drag their nails down a blackboard.
Also, some people are afraid/cant touch ice block sticks. Yep. Those little pieces of wood..
I have a thing that CANT touch raw chicken and i also cant mix my food temps in the same mouthful (yep, burgers dont really work for me, or Tacos for that matter- the salad is always on the side..)
Do you know of any odd phobias?

Possum's grad...
Well where do i start? I think point form may be easiest...!
* Had minor car accident in Canberra. Result=carless and no way to get around and home
* Due to holiday season, rental cars were all booked
* Woke up with a migraine (the type that me feel like i am going to chunder)
* Had to fly home on a TINY plane. I mean tiny. You know a plane is small when the pilot is also the steward...!
* Tiny plane=much noise. Smooth ride but very loud. Suprisingly, my migraine left on the plane. I dont think it could compete with the noise of the plane..!
* Possum's mum is scared of flying. Didnt think she was going to get on the plane, but there was no other way home. (We could have bused & trained it, but it would have taken a day and i had my work party that night)
Eventually we got home safe & sound. The car is in Canberra to get fixed, although they wont even be able to look at it until Feb. Argh. At least i have mine. And then we have to figure out how to get it home.....
It was a good time though, Possum got a fancy piece of paper and some pics. He is such a poser..

Me excited? Never....
Today was my last day of work for 2007! Im so happy right now! So so happy that it warrants this blatant overuse of exclamation marks!!! see? pure joy!
Other news....
Tomorrow, myself, possum & his mum are going to Canberra so he can graduate. Yep, he's donning the cap & gown to recieve his Masters of Enviromental Law. As well as being a good photo opportunity, im sure it will also be a perfect shopping opportunity... ;)
Oh, & I am finally getting excited about Christmas! It takes my a while but I am there! Jingly those shinny, annoying bells, Santa!

Much to much!
Is it just me, or does housework never end? You manage to cross one thing off your list and 5 more take it's place. So far i have:
Changed the sheets & doona cover
washed said sheets & doona cover
cleaned toilets
vaccumed
dusted
folded & put away washing etc
weeded garden (admittedly quite a half-hearted attempt)
wrapped christmas presents
cooked dinner
cleaned up from dinner
AND have gone out for lunch & went shopping
I really think im over playing house. I wonder if mum will take me back?

Obsessions AKA collections
There are some things in life that i just have to have. Im not necessarily talking about the expected bags, shoes, books, etc, but those odd little things that you just cant pass by, and more often than not, things that you dont even use alot....
1. Eye masks. Yep, i have plenty, but do i use them? No, every now and then, but not nearly enough to warrant my collection.
2. Address Books. Yes they are useful, BUT just how many can you use at once? At the moment i am using 4. And you know what? Its basically a full time job making sure they are all updated...! (in saying that, i did just buy another...:)
3. OK, purses. I have soooooooo many. I have heaps of bags too, but purses are different. Kind of like necklaces v. bracelets. Bags are just so obvious. Purses are more understated.....
Im sure i will think of more. Although, all this does prompt a question-
Whats this different between an obsession & a collection?

Item of choice
Do you have a beauty product of choice? Out of all of them, which do you buy the most? Me? Im a lip product gal. I just cant say no (see below)
Just out of curiosity, I checked my work make-up bag:
1 lip stick
2 lip glazes
2 Lip balms (masrhmallow and mango)
1 Lip nector (similar to a glaze, but much prettier!)

I made this! (well, kinda....)
So, my beautician has the BEST magazine collection. I am often flicking through it while the wax hardens (keeps the mind off the pain) and the other day came across some free wrapping paper. This is great, because i have a bit of a paper fetish and well, its free!
I was wondering what to do with this paper and decided i would frame it. A thick white frame with white matting (i have decided that everything looks better surrounded by white)
This is how it turned out.
Some free paper, a cheap pine frame, white paint & a free sunday. Priceless

To do list
1. Find the 'feet' for the christmas tree. (Where the bloody hell are they? I have the tree and no feet! Needless to say, the tree is no good if it doesnt have the feet. Im a logical person, why arent the feet with the tree? I would have stored them together. I know, somebody is toying with me. I bet it's possum....)
2. See #1
3. See #1 & #2
