Things i want to bring back OR back in the day...

1. Roller skates. really. I had a brief spell with them, but then roller blades came in. I don't feel my time is over with the skates. AND for that matter- bring back waitresses on skates. I would suck at it, but there is definetly skill there. Untapped potential people!

2. Guns 'n' Roses. No-one, and i mean NO ONE wears bike pants like Axle.The hair was also grand. Long & straight or a big old fro'. And their names were classic. Slash. Ahhhhh, such serenity....

3. Meat on a stick, AKA kebabs. They should really feature more often on the barbie. It makes perfect sense- no need for plates OR cutlery (if you do it right...)

4.Mixed tapes. I miss having to rewind & fast forward to find songs. Being glued to the radio to make sure you could record your favourite song. Memories. Oy.

I have these 2 totes. They are brillaint! As soon as i saw them i was thinking of how i could justify the purchase. Turned out to be christmas presents to myself!

Yay! This is a Peter Alexander gown that i am getting for my birthday! (not until the end of march, but i like to plan ahead...)

I watched the movie 'The Holiday' with Cameron Diaz and she had the nicest, softest looking robe on. I wanted it and this is a pretty close second. I have tried it on (in 40 degree heat mind you) and it is fantastic. I cant wait for it to be cold!

Is short the new tall?

On the weekend i went to Manly to visit a friend. We went down the corso etc and had lunch. It's a great place, but there is something i noticed: Most of the people were amazingly tall, tanned & toned, where as i am.... not. :)

It got me thinking. Does the *country breed short, pale people? OR, does the city breed model-like material? Is it a survival of the fittest senario?

Either way im ok with it. The rain hits the taller people first.......

(*-ok, so people classify The Hunter as country, but really, we are only 2hrs away from Sydney....)

Wedgies and Stone Henge

I did it. I have made an eye mask (its pretty nifty even if i do say so myself!)

Sorry about the bluriness- must have been caused by all the excitement...! (haha, im a funny girl)

I have also started my cross stitch- OY!. I was wondering what to label these things under eg, 'ways to pass the time', but after thinking about it, i actually quite enjoy it. I am a nerd and i love it.

The other day i was speaking to a friend telling her all about my cross stictch etc, and i asked what she had been up too, her reply: ' a puzzle- Stone Henge. The sky was easy, but now i am stuck on a rock'.

See? Nerds, but i think i like it that way :)

Ways to pass the time.....

Yes i know, its been a while. I have no excuses. Procrastination is the enemy. I have been in a funk. Some close friends and family have moved lately and i have found myself at loose ends. You's think that would make me write more, but no. I have nothing to write. Nothing to share. That is, until now. I have started 2 things:

1. Cross stitch (yes, am serious) go to www.subversivecrossstitch.com. This woman is a genius!

2. Making eye masks. Have a slight obsession with them. I dont know why considering i dont use them at all. My goal- days of the week eye masks.

So, until uni goes back this is what i am doing. That and co habitating with Brett.

Argh. Has Brittney Spears really gone bald?

ps.- gave myself my first french pedicure today. I heart it. :)
