Half way there...

I have done about half of my christmas shopping. I am struggling a bit with some of my friends....you know the ones that have everthing, are very particular and dont like run of the mill presents.

I bought some sheets of paper a while ago that i thought she would like and am trying to think of something to do with them.... Any ideas? I am already doing her a cross stitch and framing it, so i dont really want to frame the paper...



Maybe i could cover a diary for next year with it? Does anybody know how to do this?

Argh. I am going to go insane!

This is a true story that i just had to share....

The other day i was at the Supermarket and was buying washing detergent (3 boxes), rubber gloves, tics tacs and condoms (yes a weird combination). Anywho, i had stacked my items on the counters and was waiting for a man to be served in front. While he was waiting for the cashier he looked at what i was buying....

After he saw the detergent and the gloves he said to me 'You're really going to get into it aren't you?'

It was then that he eyes rested on the rest of my items, namely the condoms. It was at this moment when he turned a delightful shade of red.

I replied 'Yep, certainly am'

PMS-ing

Argh, help! Im pms-ing bad, real bad. So far i have cried, screamed and wanted to head butt ALOT of people. This is not good, and i fear the worst is yet to come!

I need some suggestions. Some ideas. Some help!

OK, i may have exagerated, but im sure you guys no how i feel.

Normally i clean to vent and most of the time it works, but i would like to find something that calms me down befor i get to the head butt say something i dont mean stage.

Wedding (no, not mine...)

So, so hungover. Went to a wedding last night. Had a fantastic time. My new shoes that i posted about were a success, no falling down (i highly expected at least one tumble), no blisters and no soreness.

Great, great shoes.

Ahhh.

Anyway, i thought i would embrace my inner 'Martha' (see previous post) and am currently baking banana bread FROM SCRATCH. Yep, no mixes for me. Although, i dont feel the best so i probably wont eat any, but at least the house smells nice!

A candle! I have just discovered that i am a genius! OK, well, maybe not, but Martha is!

What do you guys think? I found these tea cups at work and didnt have the heart to chuck them away and now i know why. I was thinking i could make a few as presents. Put them in a pretty box and viola!

(im not sure why there is a 'ring' in the wax, but if anyone asks its meant to be there!)

P is for..... Pigmentation!

Yep, it's true- I am suffering from a wee bit of skin pigmentation. Its on my forehead and isnt a big issue, but its gradually getting worse, and now it's starting to bother me. Granted it isnt a big deal, and i could have far worse to complain about, but, its annoying! Especially in summer as it stands out more, kinda like freckles.

Does anyone else have this? I have read that being on the pill can encourage it (all the hormones going crazy) and am trying to figure out a plan of action.

So far i have found:

IPL= a laser treatment that is expensive and not gauranteed for hormonal pigmentation (not something i want to try any time soon...!)

Creams= and lots of them. I have heard good things about Jurlique Elder Cream so i think i will start there.

Argh! Help?

On another note, had the best time last night*. Possum and I drank extremely cheap, but VERY NICE wine ($4.97 per bottle) and watched Interstate 60 & Casino Royale. Both very good movies.

New shoes

These are my new shoes which i bought last weekend. I have a wedding to go to soon and thought i would try and 'break them in'

Seriously, i think these are the highest shoes i have ever had on my feet.

On another note, i have to decide between two dresses for the wedding. I will post pics soon because i love them both!
