So, I have a friend's wedding coming up, and I have been trying to think of something to get them. Everyone wants money in a card, and while i understand that, i would like to put a little more thought into it.
My latest idea is monogramed stationery and a nice pen. The paper would say something like 'From the desk of Mr and Mrs Smith'. They live on the other side of Australia, so the idea would help us stay on touch.
What do you think? Yea or nay?

I think it is a lovely idea. I'm sure 90% of the guests are going to give them cash, so I think a few nice small gifts would actually be a nice surprise.
Sounds good to me. And actually writing letters is a lost art these days!
