anyways - some shopping tips are DFO on Spencer Street (right near Spencer St station/Sth Cross station) its like DFO in Sydney but much better
The Myer & DJ in city centre are awesome too - personally I think they are much bigger than Sydney.
I think St Kilda have markets on Sunday's - but I didn't go.
And of course, Chapel Street (you can get a tram there from Flinders Street Station)
There are Bus Tours - http://www.shoppingspree.com.au/content/Home.htm want to do a day thing.
Also if you are a foodie - little Italy and China Town are awesome. We went to this gorgeous Chinese restarunt just near the start of China Town and it was a green building!
